Every business, from the "Mom and Pop" stores to the large
corporations needs a web site today. The first question
out of mouths of customers today is, :"Do you have a web site?"
You do not want to be the business that says "NO"
The size of your web site will depend largely on the size of
your business. If you have a unique product or service you
can start out with a small site and as sales increase so should
your web site. If you have many products, you may still
want to start out small. As sales increase then your pages can
also increase displaying more products. Once your presence
is known on the internet you will find that you will need to
keep adding new products or service.
Once you have your web site operational, the best means of
advertising is self-advertising. By this I mean; advertise
in trade magazines, attend trade shows, advertise in local
newspapers and the yellow pages. Current web sites are all
clambering to be at the "TOP" of Search Engines; to be SEO
(Search Engine Optimized). However, to really stay at the
"TOP", in most cases requires a monthly fee. Most fees
start around $49.95 a month, around $600.00 a year. This
is fine for established sites. But there are thousands of
web sites trying to stay at the "TOP". How realistic is
this? Not to say search engines will not do you any good.
I will in fact submit your web site to as many "Free" search
engines as I can. This is a one time service that to every
client. By doing so, it will place you at the "TOP" for a
very short time.
